About Me

Kira Player is a born and bred Jersey girl and as such will fight you if you call her home state the armpit of America. She was also born a natural drama queen. As a kid she took her role as entertainer very seriously. Even going so far as to convince her entire fourth grade class that her mom was a world renowned fashion designer, her dad a famous chef, and that she could speak a different language. Pathological? Maybe. Funny ice-breaker story? Hell yeah.

Thankfully since then she has learned to save the dramatics for the stage. And she is so grateful to have chosen storytelling as a career because it has given her some amazing friends and collaborators! Her love for storytelling knows no bounds whether it be through acting, directing, devising, or writing. Any way she can delve into someone else’s experience and bumble around in that world is fine with her.

Her curiosity about other people inspires other parts of her life, too. Kira has a real passion for public policy and would like to be involved in government someday. She loves learning about the projects other people have started to help their communities and has aspirations of her own to do the same. And she hopes to be able to use her gift in storytelling to incite change.
